Dr. Joe Herald grew up in Fort Thomas, KY, where he attended Highlands High School. He went on to college at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta and graduated from Huntingdon college in Montgomery, AL in 2003. He then went to get his D.M.D. at the University of Kentucky where he graduated in 2007. He was the only student in his class to receive the Student Award of Merit from the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He worked as an associate dentist for a few years in Lexington, KY before coming home and opening his own private practice in 2009.

Dr. Herald is an avid basketball fan. In the past he has helped coach the Highlands Freshman basketball team, and continues to sponsor youth basketball leagues and the Highlands summer basketball camp. Dr. Herald is active in his church and community. He has served as a volunteer dentist with the Ida Spence Mission, helping provide dental care to community members in need.

Herald is married to his wife Danielle, and they have three beautiful daughters Avery, Makenzie, and Layla. In his free time he enjoys golfing, trail running, and active outdoor activities.

Dr. Rebecca Gavin was born and raised a Buckeye in Columbus, Ohio. In 2018, she graduated from The Ohio State University earning her Bachelors Degree in Biology. While completing her Bachelors, Dr. Gavin competed as a 4-year varsity athlete on the OSU women's softball team and attained Academic All-Conference and All-America Honors.

Dr. Gavin received her D.D.S. from The OSU College of Dentistry in 2022, where she was recognized for her Outstanding Achievement in Operative Dentistry by the Academy of Operative Dentistry. Since completing her education, she has enjoyed working in a family practice setting to help patients of all ages achieve confidence in their smiles, and gain knowledge of their complete oral health.

Dr. Gavin lives in Cincinnati with her fiancé, Michael, who is also a family dentist. In her free time, Dr. Gavin enjoys reading, Pure Barre, trying new restaurants, playing pickleball, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
